Police Add Second Resource Officer to City Schools of Decatur

Officer Kim Horton, a five-year veteran of the Decatur Police Department, is starting the school year as the department’s second school resource officer.

Horton is excited about her first year as a school resource officer with City Schools of Decatur, says the Decatur Minute blog.

Horton is originally from Memphis, TN. A devoted mom, Horton and her son bond over caring for 12 goldfish.

When Horton is not at the schools handing out high fives and keeping kids safe, you can find her in the swimming pool or playing water sports.
