Police Investigate Shooting Death in Downtown Decatur
The woman's body was found near a parking area at One Decatur Town Center, police say.
Decatur Police are investigating the shooting death of a woman whose body was found Saturday night behind a business building.
According to Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer S. Ross says officers were called to the 100 block of East Ponce de Leon Avenue about 10:55 p.m.
Witnesses reported the victim laying on the ground as they left a parking area behind One Decatur Town Center.

Decatur police, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, spent most of the night processing the crime scene at the corner of Ponce De Leon and Church Street, reports WSB TV.
Police say they consider the case a murder. She was deceased when officers arrived.
