MARTA police are investigating a report of a sexual assault which occurred outside a station in DeKalb County two weeks ago.

A woman was walking from the Indian Creek Station in Stone Mountain along Elder Lane at night when a man grabbed her, threw her into a wooded area, and assaulted her, a police report obtained by WSB-TV claims. A commuter the station talked to said the lights along Elder Lane sometimes fail to go on.
Police told WSB-TV that they won’t comment on an open investigation but that they are taking the assault very seriously.
