Police: Vehicle Hit Cyclist, Left Scene

Decatur Police are searching for a vehicle that hit a bicyclist Monday morning and fled the scene, according to a news release.

The incident happened about 3:14 a.m. on East College Avenue at Sams Street, police say.

Witnesses told police the suspect vehicle left the area after hitting the cyclist. The suspect vehicle is silver/grey with front-end damage and missing its front bumper.

Police say the cyclist was taken to an area hospital for possible internal injuries.
