Livestream: President Biden Will Address NACo Legislative Conference

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — President Joe Biden will address the National Association of Counties (NACo) Legislative Conference attendees Tuesday during a general session, according to a news release.

DeKalb Commissioner and NACo President Larry Johnson’s introduction and President Biden’s address will be livestreamed at 1 p.m. here.

“It is an honor to welcome President Biden to our conference, especially as we work with the administration to invest federal resources in our communities,” said Johnson in the release. “Our strong partnership with the federal government will help DeKalb County and counties across America thrive.”

“The opportunity to welcome President Biden and share the unique perspective of DeKalb County and counties across the country at the NACo Legislative Conference is one of the highlights of my time at the head of an organization that strives to give counties like DeKalb a voice in Washington,” Johnson said. “Conversations between local and federal government officials is crucial to building stronger counties and a stronger America.

Nearly 1,500 elected and appointed county officials from across the country are in attendance in person and virtually the NACo Legislative Conference to focus on pressing federal policy issues facing county governments. Attendees will hear from national experts, consider policy resolutions and meet with administration officials and members of Congress, according to the release.
