Private Bank of Decatur adds senior team member
Rob Beall: Community banking veteran focuses on bank-customer win-win

Private Bank of Decatur has named Robert C. “Rob” Beall Senior Vice President & Senior Lending Officer. Beall is an experienced banker who brings 30 years’ experience to the bank.
“Rob thrives on getting to know customers and their businesses and working with them to solve problems and achieve goals,” says bank President Judy Turner. “That makes him a great fit for our team, as do his deep experience and focus on mutually beneficial long-term banking relationships.”
The Georgia native is a graduate of State University of West Georgia (BBA in Finance), as well as the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He has worked in a number of banks across the Metro area, focusing on community banking. He last served as Regional President of Hamilton State Bank (formerly McIntosh State Bank & First State Bank).
“I enjoy partnering with my clients so that we are both successful, taking a long-term view of their banking needs,” Beall says. “One of the biggest compliments a customer has ever paid me was referring to me as an unofficial member of his board of directors because he had come to depend on my input. That’s the kind of partnership I appreciate building. If done right, banking is a win-win; good for the customer and good for the bank.”
Away from the bank Beall enjoys home and yard projects, walking and hiking, and reading. He and his wife have two daughters (a graduate student and a Methodist pastor), a cat and a rescue Beagle.
Private Bank of Decatur brings a private banking approach to all clients across all functions of the bank. The bank is designated a Preferred Lender by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and includes a recently relaunched and expanded mortgage unit, PrivatePlus Mortgage. The bank, including its mortgage unit, is located at 150 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, at the corner of Ponce and Church Street.
