Registration Still Open for NARI Atlanta's "Cutting Edge Expo" May 11

DeKalb-based NARI Atlanta is still accepting registrations for the event, designed for professional remodelers and industry partners.

NARI Atlanta, the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (www.nariatlanta.org) based in DeKalb County, will present its annual Cutting Edge Remodeling Expo Wednesday, May 11 at the Cobb Galleria Centre from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (registration begins at 7 a.m.). The full day of professional education and networking opportunities offers those in the home remodeling and construction business the chance to interact with and learn from industry experts, and to earn up to six continuing education credits.

Victoria Downing, CGP will be the Expo’s keynote speaker. Downing is president of Remodelers Advantage Inc., a consulting company specializing in providing strategic business management information to professional remodelers. She has authored and co-authored a number of books on the business of remodeling and is a contributing editor for Remodeling magazine.

“This is an outstanding event designed for licensed Georgia contractors and members of NARI, NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association), ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and AIA (American Institute of Architects),” said Jesse Morado, executive director of NARI Atlanta. “This year’s theme is Developing Tomorrow’s Remodeling Workforce, and the event will offer up to 30 educational programs covering design, managing a remodeling business, building technology, energy efficiency and sustainability. A list of speakers can be found at www.naricuttingedge.com. The day also includes lunch and an end-of-program cocktail reception, as well as an expo area where suppliers, manufacturers and service providers will showcase their products.”

Judy Mozen, president of Atlanta-based Handcrafted Homes, Inc. and outgoing National NARI president said, “I have never missed a Cutting Edge Expo, and will participate this year as both a speaker and attendee. As professional remodelers, our clients rely on us to keep up to date on the latest building products and innovations. NARI Atlanta’s Cutting Edge Expo brings a wealth of expertise together under one roof for just one day so we can learn what’s new, and earn Continuing Education Credits for our recertification requirements. The one-day time commitment is minimal, but the benefit to remodeling professionals and our companies is substantial.”

The cost to attend the expo is $110 for NARI members and $225 for non-members. Attendees may register at www.nariatlanta.org. The Cobb Galleria Centre is located at Two Galleria Pkwy., Atlanta, Ga., 30339. On-site parking is free.
