Residential Burglary Reported in Avondale
The break-in happened on Nottingham Drive some time early Monday.

AVONDALE ESTATES, GA -- Two items of jewelry were stolen in a residential burglary Monday in Avondale Estates.
Avondale police officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Nottingham Drive at about 1:45 p.m. Monday, where they discovered a burglar, or burglars, entered the home through an unlocked front door and took the jewelry.
The time of the theft was believed to be between 8 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., the city said in an email alert.

Police said there were no known suspects as of Monday afternoon.
