Schools Closed Friday In DeKalb County School District

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County School District schools and centers will be closed Friday in celebration of the Atlanta Braves on winning the 2021 World Series title, according to a news release.

"We are excited to have another professional sports championship in metro Atlanta," the district said in the release.

"All DCSD schools and centers will be closed on Friday, November 5, 2021, to help the Braves celebrate its World Series victory during the championship parade. We look forward to joining all Braves fans in celebrating this historic victory! There will be no makeup day or remote learning/remote work expectations for students and employees. "
