Shallowford Presby. Hosts "Classical Music Recital"
Enjoy Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Fritz Kreisler played on the violin and the piano
Three local musicians will take the stage in the sanctuary of Shallowford Presbyterian Church, on Sunday afternoon, May 22, at 3:00 p.m. to present a program of Classical music free of charge for the enjoyment of the entire community. The church is located at 2375 Shallowford Road.
The musicians, two pianists and a violinist, will play a variety of classical music selections including Bach for unaccompanied violin, two Beethoven sonatas, two Chopin Preludes and a piece by Fritz Kreisler.
Professional pianist Jody Smith Parrish studied with the highly respected Leonard Shure and has given solo recitals in a number of states. Previously an instructor at Agnes Scott College, she maintains a large private studio in the Northlake area. Ben Padgett is one of her talented students.

Kim Padgett, an accomplished violinist, has performed in orchestras throughout the Mid-Atlanta and in Florida. Currently a member of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, she teaches at the Northlake Children’s Chorus and Music Academy.
