DECATUR, GA — A high school near Decatur was locked down Wednesday morning after a shooting on the street close to a nearby daycare center.
A 31-year-old man was in his car at the intersection of Woods Drive and Columbia Drive when someone in a black vehicle pulled up behind him, got out and fired a handgun, striking the man, who was a passenger, said DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell.
The man was shot in the arm, got out of his car and ran across the street, she said. He was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
