Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. A man was killed in Decatur on Saturday morning when he collided with a train while skateboarding, police said.The man was struck and killed at <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/@33.7714003,-84.2928617,18z" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">East Trinity Place and East College Avenue</a> at approximately 10:30 a.m., spokeswoman Jennifer Ross said. Investigators have determined that the crossing arms were down at the time of the incident.The deceased is only being described as a 29-year-old Atlanta male pending formal notification of his next of kin, Ross said.
