Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. Throughout the summer, campers ages 5–12 will experience engaging, hands-on learning through themed weeks focused on gardening and sustainability, STEAM exploration, sports and teamwork, entrepreneurship, leadership, and creative discovery. Campers will participate in exciting activities including outdoor exploration, science experiments, engineering challenges, team games, creative arts, field trips, and youth business projects. A strong focus of our summer program is literacy and enrichment. The Decatur City Commission and school board agreed to reauthorize SPLOST sales tax for another five years. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the measure was approved Monday night. If approved by DeKalb and Atlanta school systems, then citizens will vote on SPLOST IV in November. Last week, City Schools of Decatur said SPLOST IV could help pay off the new Fifth Avenue Academy, the new school slated to open in August to fourth and fifth graders.
