Suspect Named In I-285 Fatal Car Accident That Killed 2 Women
Two women who were rear-ended Monday on I-285 died, according to DeKalb County police. The male driver is recovering at a local hospital.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The suspect in connection with Monday’s I-285 car accident that killed two women and left a man in critical condition has been charged, according to DeKalb County police.
The victims’ names are Latrece Morris, 45, and Althia McFarlane, 50, said spokeswoman Michaela N. Vincent. Thirty-five-year-old Julio Sanchez is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, one count of serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving, DUI, hit and run and following too closely.
Vincent said that the male passenger is still recovering in a local hospital.

The man’s car rear-ended the women's car around 3:45 a.m. Monday. I-285 westbound lanes at Bouldercrest Road were shut down for hours during the investigation. They believe speed may have been a factor.
