Suspect Sought In Decatur Armed Robbery Case

The man is accused of stealing a woman's car at knife point at West Ponce de Leon Avenue.

DECATUR, GA — A man is accused of brandishing a knife and stealing a woman's car Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of West Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur Police said.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m., when the woman was walking toward her blue 2022 Hyundai Tucson in a parking deck, police said.

The man approached her, showed a knife and demanded her car keys, police said. The woman dropped the keys and fled the scene, police said.

The man grabbed the keys from the ground and left in the woman's car, police said.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect. He was seen wearing a black Atlanta Falcons hat and mask, light-colored ripped pants, a black jacket and black and white Nike shoes.
