Suspect Sought In Killing Of 4-Year-Old In DeKalb
Police said the child's mother is in jail after being charged on suspicion of felony murder and child cruelty.

DECATUR, GA — Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man accused of child cruelty and felony murder in connection with a 4-year-old's death, DeKalb County Police said Monday.
Police say Javonte Harris is one of two people accused after a child died Saturday in an incident at Candler Road. Specific details into the child's death were not given.
The child, who was not identified, was found at a Candler location in critical condition, police said. The child died at the hospital, police said.

The department's special victims unit determined the case was one of child cruelty.
The child's 25-year-old mother, who was not identified, was charged on suspicion of cruelty to children and felony murder. She was taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
