'Talk Saves Lives' Event Set At Decatur PD
The free presentation is from the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.

DECATUR, GA — A group dedicated to preventing suicides plans has planned a free informational event in Decatur.
"Talk Saves Lives," a presentation from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, is scheduled for March 12 at the Decatur Police Department. The talk will run from 6-7 p.m. and the police station is located at 420 West Trinity Pl.
The presentation will be by Chris Owens, the Georgia area director with the foundation. The talk will cover general information about suicide, research on suicide prevention and what people can do to fight it.

Attendees will learn risk and warning signs of suicide, who it affects and what can be done to prevent it. This presentation is intended for people 18 and over. Anyone interested in attending can register here.
