Taste Of The Town Decatur Set For Aug. 23
The charity event in Decatur Square will offer tastings of food from 15 different local restaurants.

DECATUR, GA — Get your taste buds ready, Decatur. The 10th annual Taste of the Town Decatur is coming up soon.
The charity event is set for 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Historic DeKalb Courthouse and bandstand at Decatur Square.
Hosted by Keller Williams Realty Metro Atlanta, the event, which raised more than $50,000 last year for local charities, features live music, silent auctions, cocktails and, of course, food samples from lots of local restaurants.

This year, the event will benefit Silence the Shame, an Atlanta-based program dedicated to eliminating the stigma associated with mental health care, particularly depression and suicidal thoughts.

Visitors to the ticketed event will get to sample food from:

- Parker’s on Ponce
- Piece of Cake
- Sweet Treats
- The Imperial
- The Stratford
- Twain’s
- Wahoo! Grill
Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at the event's website or at the door, on a first-come, first-served basis. A $75 VIP ticket is also available, granting access to a private room with special tastings and cocktails provided by Parker's on Ponce.
