All DeKalb residents could see a decline in county taxes under a new budget.

Taxes may be falling a little bit for Decatur and DeKalb residents in 2016, under a budget proposed by CEO Lee May.

Both the AJC and Decatur Metro are reporting that all DeKalb residents could see a decline in their county tax rate. In Decatur, the rate would fall to 10.08 mills, a 15 percent drop from 2015.

Other DeKalb residents could experience a 10 to 17 percent decline in their millage, with Atlanta DeKalb residents seeing the most reduction.
