Thursday's RED DAY to Benefit The Museum School, Remember Jess and Tami Willadsen

In just two short days, Decatur associates of Keller Williams Realty Metro Atlanta will be taking the day off. But instead of kicking back, they will be rolling up their sleeves and getting dirty.

This Thursday, May 8, Keller Williams will celebrate its 6th Annual National Red Day by taking a “day of service” to focus on renewing, energizing, and giving where they live. This year’s recipient of their hard work is The Museum School of Avondale Estates (923 Forrest Blvd., Decatur, GA 30030).

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., a large number of KW Metro Atlanta/Decatur associates, volunteers, family members of The Museum School, and others will bringing their work gloves, wheel barrows, and shovels to clear fields, fences, clear paths and prepare an area for an outdoor classroom that is much needed by the school.

“As a long-time resident of Avondale Estates, I’m so proud that our company decided to spend this important day working with The Museum School, as the school – and the entire Decatur and Avondale community -- have recently suffered the loss of two of its much-loved family members – Tami and Jess Willadsen,” said Frank Carollo, KW Associate Broker, GRI, ABR. “Jess Willadsen was a four grade student at The Museum School, and Tami was the founding president of The Museum School Foundation, where she chaired current capital fund raising campaign. Their loss has been extremely hard on the students, teachers, and residents of our area.”

As part of the Decatur Red Day Event, KW Associates generously raised over $10,000 to help with the The Museum School’s multimillion dollar future building project that is needed for the growing school.

“I am so excited for Thursday’s event,” adds Carollo. “We know that our efforts are needed and will sincerely be appreciated by The Museum School community as it heals.”

The Museum School and the entire Keller Williams team would like to invite anyone to come out and join them for this special Red Day project. Just don't forget your long pants, long-sleeved shirts and gloves to protect from poison ivy and mosquitoes. And extra rakes, pruning tools, wheelbarrows and pitchforks (labeled so they can find their way back to you) will also be appreciated!
