Tom Hanks, Sally Field Among Headliners For Marcus Book Festival
The Marcus Jewish Community Center in Dunwoody will host all of this year's events.
DUNWOODY, GA -- Celebrated actors Tom Hanks and Sally Field are among the authors set to appear at the prologue event for the 27th annual Marcus Jewish Community Center Book Festival, set for Sept. 20-Oct. 29, 2018. More than 45 authors will appear at the center's Tilly Mill Road location, with officials expecting more than 13,000 people to attend. Besides the acclaimed actors, several nationally prominent political officials will attend, including former U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman .
“We are thrilled about this year’s lineup,” said Book Festival Co-Chair Bea Grossman. “The 27th edition of the Book Festival of the MJCCA features everyone from acclaimed actors to renowned political figures; from historians to award-winning novelists; to authors presenting award-winning cookbooks and riveting memoirs. We truly have something for everyone – book lover or not.”
“Included in our exciting lineup are some of Atlanta’s best local authors presenting their work,” said Book Festival Co-ChairSusie Hyman. “Additionally, I am thrilled that we will bring back our ‘In Conversation’ interviews between authors and local journalists; as well as various events with book clubs from throughout the city.”

Field, author of "In Pieces," will appear Sunday, October 21, at 7:30 pm.

Hanks will appear on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 pm. Neither will be signing their books. Former U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman will appear on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 8:15 pm.
