Traffic Stop In Jonesboro Leads To Arrest Of DeKalb Man Wanted For Murder: Report
Derico McCoggle was wanted for a 2021 murder in Dekalb County when Jonesboro police arrested him at a traffic stop, according to a report.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A man wanted for murder in DeKalb County was arrested in Jonesboro Thursday when police conducted a traffic stop, reported the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
Jonesboro police pulled over Derico Joseph McCoggle, 20, who threw a gun out the
passenger’s side of the car when he was asked to show his hands, reported the AJC. Police discovered he was wanted in DeKalb County on murder charges tied to a 2021 homicide case.
He was taken to DeKalb County Jail.
