Truck Spills Candy on I-285 During Morning Commute: Report

ATLANTA — The morning rush hour took its own sweet time Tuesday morning when a truck hauling more than 17 tons of candy overturned on Interstate 285, according to a media report

It was no Halloween treat for commuters. The early-morning accident slowed down traffic on northbound I-285 near Northlake Parkway, WXIA-TV 11 Alive reported. The truck spilled SweeTARTS and Nestle chocolates across the roadway, but there were no injuries reported.

I-285 was cleared by 7 a.m., but three other accidents also snarled traffic on Atlanta's roads during the Tuesday morning commute, 11 Alive reported, including a school bus accident on I-85 in Midtown.
