Two Charged With Felony Murder in Oct. 10 Home Invasion: Report

The break-in occurred near Georgia State University campus in Clarkston.

DECATUR, GA — Two men who were involved in a home invasion robbery are facing felony murder charges after another man died during the Oct. 10 break-in, according to a media report.

DeKalb County police arrested Benjamin Florence and Tyler Alexander Brown shortly after the break-in, and both are being held in the DeKalb County Jail, according to WGCL-Tv Channel 46.

The three men broke into a townhouse near the Perimeter College campus of Georgia State University in Clarkston, Channel 46 reported. After arresting Florence and Brown, the police found the third man, who was unidentified, dead at the scene.

Under state law, Florence and Brown are being held responsible for the man's death because it occurred during the commission of a felony, Channel 46 said.
