Two kid-oriented events coming up at The Wylde Center's Hawk Hollow and Mulberry Fields
The sing-along at Hawk Hollow and art class at Mulberry Fields are both part of the Wylde Center's 20th Anniversary offerings.

As part of its 20th Anniversary year, the Wylde Center is offering a number of nature-oriented outdoor activities. On Aug. 12, everyone is invited to the family-friendly performance by Refuse the Rat and Garbagebag at Hawk Hollow. Everyone's favorite singing rat and his trusty ukulele-playing companion will perform from 10 a.m. - noon. Admission is free for Wylde Center members and $7 for adult non-members and $5 for non-member children age 12 and under. Hawk Hollow is located at 2304 1st Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30317. The bird and animal habitat features woodland paths, a creek, tree house and butterfly garden.
On Sept. 9, kids age 4-10 are invited to enjoy an afternoon of painting at Mulberry Fields. Presented by Decatur Art Classes and Sycamore Place Gallery, instruction will be provided by Sylvia Cross. The program is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Mulberry Fields is located at 1301 Iverson St. in Candler Park. The one-acre meadow and mulberry grove were part of an old dairy farm dating back to the 1800's. Today, is is managed by the Wylde Center and is an urban oasis in the midst of a dynamic intown neighborhood. www.wyldecenter.org
