Want to Have a Healthier 2016? Then Adopt a Pet from LifeLine Animal Project's DeKalb County shelter!

Also, meet our Pet of the Week, Barney, a handsome guy with plenty of personality who brings sunshine wherever he goes.

Did you know that having a pet as part of your family makes you healthier? According to the American Heart Association, people who have pets have a reduced risk for heart disease, visit the doctor less and live longer than people who don’t. And according to the Centers for Disease Control, pets can lower your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels and feelings of loneliness, while increasing opportunities for exercise, outdoor activities and socialization.

To help make it easier for you to have a healthier 2016 through pet ownership, LifeLine Animal Project is offering $16 adoptions during January on all dogs over 25 lbs. and all cats! Our “Ring in the New Year” adoption promotion includes the animal’s spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines and more!

All of LifeLine’s shelters are participating in the $16 adoption promotion, including: DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS), Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS), LifeLine’s Dog House & Kitty Motel and LifeLine’s Cat Adoption Center. You can adopt great animals from our shelters like the Pet of the Week below:
