'We Have Nothing' Says Mother Who Lost Everything In Decatur Fire: GoFundMe

A GoFundMe has been launched to help a single mother who lost everything in a fire Sunday in Decatur.

DECATUR, GA — A fire has left a Decatur family with nothing but the clothes on their backs right before Christmas, according to a GoFundMe.

The fire started Sunday in single mother Aleisea Holt's home, while she and her children were sleeping. The family made it out safely, but they didn’t have time to take any of their belongings.

“I’ve lost everything,” Holt wrote. “Clothes, shoes, furniture, beds, food, literally everything. This house fire right before Christmas is devastating with me losing my home, but I'm at a total loss. We have nothing.”
