WEATHER ALERT: Hour-by-Hour Drop to Wind Chill at 2 Below
Wind chill advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday. Here's the regional forecast.

There is a wind chill advisory in effect for north Georgia, including DeKalb County, from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The wind chill is expected to make the temperature feel like 5 degrees below zero to 10 above in some parts of the region. Wind gusts are expected to reach 40 mph.
Overnight lows are expected to be in the low teens from Atlanta northward, and will be considerably lower with the windy conditions.

“Very cold air and strong winds can result in frostbite or hypothermia if proper precautions are not taken,” the weather service said.
