The week leading up to July 4th is going to have a near-constant chance of thunderstorms.

DECATUR, GA -- In the week leading up to July 4th, we can expect high temperatures in the low 90s and ... surprise, surprise ... a chance of thunderstorms almost daily.
We're most likely to see those storms on Monday night and Tuesday, but the chance for a summer storm will linger for the rest of the week.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly after 1 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 90. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Monday night, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 5 a.m. Low around 73.
Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7 a.m. Areas of fog between 7 a.m and 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. North wind 5 to 10 mph. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. A 20 percent chance of showers and storms Tuesday night, with a low around 69.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Dropping to a 10 percent chance of storms and showers Wednesday night before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90. Partly cloudy Thursday night with a low around 69.
Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. The 20 percent chance of rain continues Friday night, with a low around 73.
