WeWork Opens In Downtown Decatur
The new WeWork location in Decatur is offering a free month of space during October.
DECATUR, GA — WeWork, in partnership with the City of Decatur, announced Thursday the official opening of its first location in Decatur. In response to COVID-19, WeWork has reimagined the workplace with enhanced cleanings, modified layouts, upgraded HVAC systems, and helpful signage.
The building was constructed on a 4.7-acre site once owned by DeKalb County but acquired by the Decatur Downtown Development Authority (DDA) in 2013 with hopes of redeveloping the location. Atlanta-based developer Cousins Properties purchased the property from the DDA in 2016 and began construction on a mixed-use development with 329 housing units, 18,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a parking deck and the four-story building.
WeWork, 120 West Trinity Place, features expansive lounges, bright and airy conference rooms, and sleek private offices. In addition to WeWork’s signature amenities such as high-speed internet, business-class printers, private phone booths, meeting spaces with conferencing A/V, on-site staff and more, this location also offers unique amenities such as bike storage and a wellness room.

“WeWork is excited to officially open its doors in Decatur at 120 West Trinity Place,” said Errol Williams, WeWork Vice President of the Atlantic region. “120 West Trinity Place will immerse our members in all that Downtown Decatur has to offer, such as a walkable, transit-friendly community, vibrant business district, access to a highly educated workforce and more. We were drawn to Decatur’s dynamic environment from day one, and we look forward to providing the city’s purpose-driven workforce with flexible workspace solutions that will allow companies to pivot and grow with ease.”
In 2019, WeWork and the City of Decatur announced that WeWork had leased all three floors of office space at the mixed-use development in Downtown Decatur.
“Decatur welcomes WeWork to our growing office community with open arms,” said Decatur Mayor Patti Garrett. “With its flexible, innovative workspaces for entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes, WeWork is certainly a great fit for our city.”
For the entire month of October, WeWork is offering full access to WeWork 120 West Trinity Place free of charge as part of its “October Open House” month of programming. Those interested in safely trying out the space can get more information and sign up HERE.
