DECATUR, GA — Independence Day will be observed on Friday since July 4 falls on a Saturday this year. Here’s a list of what’s open and closed in Decatur for the holiday.

Government Offices: State offices, including federal, state, county and municipal courts, metro banks and post offices will be closed
Libraries: Closed July 3 and 4th
Banks: Most are closed.
Trash and Recycling pickup: DeKalb County Sanitation Division’s administrative and residential field collection operations will be closed. Read more.
Post Offices: Post Offices will be closed and there will be no mail or package deliveries.
