Woman, 62, Dies In DeKalb House Fire

A 62-year-old woman recovering from a stroke died Tuesday in a house fire in DeKalb County.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A 62-year-old woman died in a house fire in DeKalb County Tuesday. The fire started around 3 p.m. along Troy Cover Road, reports WSB.

The victim was Abby Lindsey, who died in the living room. According to firefighters, the fire was too strong for them to rescue her.

Her niece, Samantha Lindsey, tells the station that her uncle called 911. He was in the basement when the fire started. Her aunt had suffered a recent stroke.
