Woman, Child Hit By Car on Lawrenceville Highway
The incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police say.
DECATUR, GA -- A woman and child were hit by a car on Lawrenceville Highway Wednesday morning, according to police.
DeKalb County Police spokesman Maj. Stephen Fore said the incident happened at about 8:30 a.m.
It happened near the intersection of Lawrenceville Highway and Robinwood Road, just north of The Home Depot.

The woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with serious injuries.
The child was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston with minor injuries, Fore said.

There were no further details available about the incident, which remained under investigation Wednesday afternoon.
