Woman Dead In DeKalb Stabbing, Shooting

DECATUR, GA — A woman was found shot and stabbed to death early Monday morning in the 2800 block of Battle Forrest Drive, DeKalb County Police said.

Officers responded around 6:45 a.m. to Battle Forrest after receiving a report of a person shot. Police said when they arrived, they found the woman with stab and gunshot wounds.

A suspect was not located after a K9 search, and police said the investigation remains active.

The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine an official cause of death.

"We will provide an update with more specific details as soon as they become available," police told Patch.
