Woodlands Garden hosts Fall Plant Sale

Come shop at the upcoming Fall Plant Sale!

Woodlands Garden Fall Plant Sales begin September 17

DECATUR, Ga. – Sundays this fall will be a chance for visitors to add to their own garden with Woodlands Garden’s Fall Plant Sale. The fundraiser allows visitors to enjoy some shopping while helping out their local community.

The sale will run every Sunday from September 17th to October 15th from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will include plants that have been grown by volunteers, native plants cultivated at the Garden and those donated by local nurseries. This year’s Fall Plant Sale will have the most diverse selection of plants that the volunteer-led Plant Sale Committee has been able to offer, including trees, shrubs, perennials, groundcovers, and houseplants.

The Garden’s Executive Director, Kate McAlpin, finds this plant sale to be a unique experience because “Garden visitors will get a chance to enjoy an informative shopping experience under the tree canopy with expert DeKalb County Master Gardeners assisting in plant selection. Plant lovers, and those with newly green thumbs, will take home a piece of Woodlands for their own backyard while supporting an important Decatur greenspace.”

Each Sunday of the Fall Plant Sale will offer a great selection of plants, gardening experts to assist with any questions, and hands-on demonstrations. All proceeds from the sale will go to preserving and maintaining Woodlands Garden, a non-profit public garden maintained open daily for free.
