Victim ID'd In Decatur Post Office Shooting: Reports
Federal authorities and DeKalb County police are looking for the shooter, say media reports.

UPDATE — A 22-year-old postal carrier was being stalked by her estranged boyfriend before she was shot to death Monday night at a Decatur post office, according to media reports. Tyrika Terrell, a young mother, had been with the U.S. Postal Service for about a month prior to the shooting, a USPS spokesman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Authorities did not release the name of the shooting suspect on Tuesday. USPS inspectors are investigating the case with assistance from the DeKalb County police.
WSB-TV Channel 2 reported that Terrell had just given birth to a child with her estranged boyfriend.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Wesley Chapel Post Office, near a loading dock. Terrell was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, where she was pronounced dead, the AJC reported.

As of Tuesday, authorities had not released the shooting victim's name, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The woman had just started working at the post office a month ago, and the shooting occurred just before her shift ended.
A witness told Channel 2 that the shooting suspect waited at the laundromat next door before walking out, approaching the victim in the post office's dock area and opening fire. The woman was shot four times in the head.
The police hope that surveillance cameras from the laundromat can help them identify the shooter, the AJC reported. No description of the shooter had been released as of Tuesday.
Federal authorities said the motive behind the shooting is still unclear, Channel 2 reported.
