• There are weasels in Georgia (uga.edu) — Researchers have confirmed that long-tailed weasels are living again in the Flat Tub Wildlife Management Area near Denton, marking the first documented sighting in that region in more than 30 years. Using detection dogs to guide camera placement, University of Georgia scientists dramatically improved their ability to spot these elusive predators, helping wildlife managers better understand local habitats and future conservation needs across Georgia.
