• Volleyball Recap: Duluth Can't Get Past Grayson Again (maxpreps.com) — Duluth High's volleyball team dropped its fourth straight match Thursday, falling 2-0 again to a strong Grayson squad and slipping to a 7-19 record. The Wildcats now look to regroup on the road at Berkmar Tuesday, while Grayson, 20-7, continues its hot streak with a Saturday showdown against Norcross.
• For Good Tea in Duluth receives a 58% on their recent health inspection (thegeorgiagazette.com) — A Duluth tea shop on Pleasant Hill Road recently scored 58 out of 100 on a state health inspection, briefly losing its food service permit before it was reinstated. Inspectors cited issues like bare-hand contact with food, dirty equipment, and improper cold holding, and scheduled a follow-up visit by September 24 that could again threaten the permit if problems persist.
• Mary Elizabeth Stanley (davidsoncountysource.com) — Family and friends are mourning Mary Elizabeth Stanley, remembered for her lively spirit, love of movies and porch chats, and deep devotion to her daughter and grandchildren.
