• Hibachi Buffet in Duluth receives a 62% on their recent health inspection (thegeorgiagazette.com) — A Duluth Hibachi Buffet on Liddell Lane recently scored just 62 out of 100 on a Georgia Department of Public Health inspection, triggering a required follow-up visit by October 2. Inspectors cited issues like improper cooling of sushi, mold-like buildup in the ice machine, handwashing sink misuse, and unapproved remodeling, and warned that the restaurant's permit could be suspended if problems aren't fixed.
• Murray inks deal with Gladiators (echl.com) — A new face is joining Duluth's hometown Atlanta Gladiators blue line, as defenseman Owen Murray has signed for the 2026–27 ECHL season. Fresh off captaining UMass and a strong collegiate career, Murray brings leadership and steady production to the team that plays its home games in Duluth.
