• Four DeKalb high schools ranked among top 100 in Georgia (decaturish.com) — Families in Dunwoody will want to note that Dunwoody High slipped to No. 132 statewide while Dunwoody Elementary ranked No. 45 in new U.S. News & World Report rankings. DeKalb still placed four high schools and six elementary schools in Georgia's top tiers, highlighting both strong magnet programs and shifting performance at several neighborhood campuses.

• Past Tense: The Sandy Springs home of John and Margaret Ball (appenmedia.com) — A local family's 19th-century farm once stretched from today's GA 400 to the Mount Vernon and Ashford Dunwoody intersection, tying Dunwoody's roads to Sandy Springs' rural past. Their story includes hand-built homes, mule-powered sorghum making, and self-sufficient farming on land now occupied by Big Trees Forest Preserve and nearby neighborhoods.
