• New townhome development near Perimeter Mall targets 'empty nesters' (wsbradio.com) — Dunwoody has approved rezoning near Perimeter Mall for up to 122 three-story townhomes aimed at older adults and empty nesters, less than a mile from shops, doctors, and MARTA. Mayor Lynn Deutsch touts the walkable location, while one council member opposed the plan over aging-in-place concerns. Construction is targeted for completion or near-completion by 2028.
   

• Renew Your Georgia Driver's License at the Grocery Store! (majicatl.com) — Dunwoody drivers can now renew their Georgia license at the Georgetown Kroger on Chamblee Dunwoody Road, using a self-service DDS kiosk while they shop. Eligible renewals get a $5 discount, a temporary paper license on the spot, and a permanent card mailed home. The article also lists many other metro Atlanta Kroger and Publix kiosk locations.
   

• Rapper stole checks and sold the recipe for others to copy him (capitol-beat.org) — Dunwoody residents should know their local police department helped federal agencies crack a massive mail-check fraud scheme tied to a Stone Mountain rapper, who's now sentenced to six years in prison. Investigators say the group stole checks worth over $6.5 million, promoted a "Sauce Book" on how to copy the fraud, and are warning the public to avoid leaving outgoing mail in unsecured mailboxes overnight.
