Attention, Dunwoody MARTA Riders: New Breeze Cards Debut Saturday

ATLANTA GA -- MARTA’s new silver Breeze card debuts this Saturday, Jan. 9, at a cost of $2 plus selected fare.

Currently, Breeze cards cost $1 to purchase.

MARTA says the new cards are more secure than the old blue cards, which were frequent targets for hackers.

Riders can get the new silver cards free of charge as long as they have a card registration account. The free cards will be available at MARTA Ride Stores from Jan. 11-29.

Your old blue cards will no longer be usable after July 9, 2017.

MARTA is also bringing back the $1 paper Breeze tickets.
