DeKalb Police Nab Sheriff's Deputy in Sexting Case
The Henry County Sheriff's captain was fired after his arrest this week for attempting to meet an underage boy for sex.

DeKalb County Police have arrested a Henry County Sheriff’s office for sexting with a person he thought was an underage boy he planned to meet with for sex.
Capt. David McCart was arrested this week after a two-month investigation that included monitoring websites authorities believe McCart used. Police say the online conversation with the boy turned into texting and plans to meet in person.
“Mr. McCart was on a social media website chatting with who he believed was an underage child. During that chat, they had a sexual, explicit conversation in which they agreed to meet for sex,” DeKalb County police Sgt. Torrey Kennedy told WSB TV.
McCart agreed to meet at a mall, where police arrested him.
Investigators are searching McCart’s electronic devices to see if there were any other victims.
McCart was fired by the Henry County Sheriff’s Department following his arrest.
