DeKalb school board likely to remain at nine members for now
Senate moves to delay a move to shrink the school board

The DeKalb County school board would remain nine members, at least for the near term, under a Senate bill sponsored by Sen. Fran Millar (R-Dunwoody).
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Senate bill would delay a law that would shrink the school board from nine members to seven.
The law, passed last year, created a problem because school board members cannot be removed from the districts mid-term.
