Dunwoody Resident Jason Jones Named Recipient of Forever Duke Award

Honor rewards the Duke alum's recent excellence in volunteer leadership

The Duke Alumni Association presented Duke alum and Dunwoody resident Jason Jones with the Forever Duke Award in recognition of his recent excellence in volunteer leadership. In 2010, Jones and fellow Duke Alum Brian Greene founded a Duke networking group in Atlanta for alums who hold C-suite roles (most important senior executive roles). Through their efforts, the Duke affinity network, aptly named “The Dukes,” now numbers more than 100 members.

“One of the main reasons that I chose to attend Duke was to surround myself with smart, motivated and successful people,” said Jones. “By volunteering for Duke, I have the opportunity and privilege to continue to be uplifted by those same people.”

Jones continues to head the Duke C-Level Executive Networking organization in Atlanta.

The group gives its members the opportunity to meet quarterly for a breakfast and to hear from a keynote speaker

Brian Greene also received a Forever Duke Award for his work in Atlanta. He has since re-located to Marina Del Rey, California where he has started another Duke networking group.

About the Forever Duke Awards

The Forever Duke Award was established in 2009 to recognize alumni for excellent recent volunteer service in support of the Duke Alumni association’s mission of engaging, connecting and celebrating alumni. Such volunteerism could include inspiring service to Duke University, to the Duke Alumni Association and to additional alumni groups in diverse roles such as leading a Duke alums engage event, serving on a campus board or committee and coordinating a regional network or class reunion.
