Dunwoody Bistro Passes Follow-up Health Inspection

The restaurant on Jett Ferry Road passed a county heath inspection after failing one in June for numerous violations.

Dunwoody Bistro received a grade of 'C' by county health inspectors after the restaurant failed a health inspection in June.

In the follow up visit, the restaurant was cited for not having a safety manager employed (the person in charge at the restaurant has signed up for the test), the ice machine was deemed unclean - a repeat violation - fresh strawberries were served without being washed,   rust was observed on the shelves of several coolers - a repeat violation - the bottoms of coolers had food debris in them, and the walls and floors were "unclean to sight and touch," according to the health inspection report.

The restaurant also didn't post the failing health report, which is required to be displayed within 15 feet of a door and within the view of the public, according to the county's health inspection report.

The restaurant failed an inspection June 19, earning a "U" after being cited for numerous health code violations.

Under the county's rules, a food service establishment that is graded as a “U” and does not earn at least a grade “C” within 10 days of receiving the “U” will be requested to voluntarily close until all violations are corrected and/or have enforcement action taken to suspend or revoke the food service permit.)

The restaurant earned the satisfactory report June 26.
