Dunwoody boy's track and field wins county championship
Team effort brings home the title for the second year in a row

The Dunwoody boy’s track and field won its second county championship in a row over the weekend in an event that pitted the best against the best at Georgia State's Panthersville Stadium.
Dunwoody led after the first day of competition 34-33. Senior Kyle Sexton brought in needed points with his 3200-meter run with a time of 9:56.37.
Dunwoody sophomore Coleman Gordon registered a tie in the pole-vault event by clearing the 11-foot even mark to help propel Dunwoody.

The championship, however, would come down to the final event. Dunwoody High School was trailing Lakeside High School by four points, 70-66, and needed a fourth place finish in the 4x400-meter relay.
Dunwoody’s relay team got just enough. In a tight battle for fourth with Stephenson High School, Dunwoody finished fourth by just 1.55 seconds to get the needed five points. Dunwoody edged Lakeside High School 71-70 for the title.
