Dunwoody Homeowners Get Lowdown on City Budget
City manager says citizens get a lot of bang for the taxpayer buck.

Members of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association got a preview of the budget that city leaders will be proposing next month.
According to Reporter Newspapers, City Manager Eric Linton and Mayor Mike Davis told the organization’s Oct. 4 meeting that the average homeowner pays $18 a month for city services.
A resident with a $350,000 house pays $18 a month in property taxes and gets 24-hour police protection, parks, bike lanes, paving and street maintenance and a thriving community, Linton said.

City leaders plan on keeping the millage rate at 2.74.
Davis said the city plans to spend most of it $34 million general fund, and plans to bank half a million dollars in 2016.
