A group selling magazines Thursday weren't permitted by the city to solicit donations.

Dunwoody Police are asking residents to again research charitable organizations that solicit donations in the city.

A group named "Graceful Hands" was in Dunwoody Thursday soliciting magazine subscriptions and taking donations, according to police.

The representative and the company haven't filed for a solicitation permit with the city, which is required police reported.

Police are asking people to research organizations that ask for donations in the city.
