Man arrested for $100,000 Swindle
Dunwoody Police detectives arrested a 34-year-old Liberty Hill, Texas man on charges of theft by swindle, which had been reported on May 10. The man allegedly swindled the victim out of $100,000. Police said the suspect said the money would be invested in bonds, but he instead blew the money gambling in Las Vegas.

Assault
• A 26-year-old Norcross man was arrested in the early hours of June 20 on charges of aggravated assault. The victim, who had severe lacerations, told police the man had attacked him with a baseball bat. The assault occurred on the 6700 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

Armed Robbery
• An armed robbery was reported in the early hours of June 20 on the 4900 block of Winters Chapel Road. Two victims reported that the suspect had a handgun, robbing them of $1,100 in cash and a cell phone worth $50.
Burglary
• A Samsung LCD television, a Bose stereo, an iPod Touch, an Apple laptop computer and a Cartier watch were reported stolen from a residence on the 300 block of Perimeter Center North in the early hours of Thursday. In total, the items were valued at $9,260.
• A residence was reported burglarized on the 4300 block of Stonington Circle on Friday afternoon. Jewelry, a Dell Laptop computer, a Sony camcorder, a Swiss Army watch and a jewelry box, valued, in total, at $3,350.
• A computer, music and gambling equipment were reported stolen from a residence on the 4000 block of Dunwoody Park Saturday afternoon. The stolen items were valued at $2,150.
• More than $4,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from a home on the 5300 block of North Peachtree Road on the morning of June 21.
• Jewelry was reported stolen from a home on the 4600 block of Norwalk Road in the afternoon Saturday. The stolen jewelry was valued at $2,000.
Arrest
• A 23-year-old Lawrenceville man was arrested on June 19 at the Dunwoody Glen Apartments, 6800 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. on charges of criminal trespass, obstruction and violation of the Georgia street gang terrorism and prevention act.
Car Theft
• A green 1995 Chevy Blazer was reported stolen from the 6700 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on the evening of June 20.
• A black 2007 Saturn Ion Level 3 was reported stolen in the early morning hours of June 21 on the 6700 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The vehicle was valued at $7,500.
Theft
• A Sanyo Vero cell phone worth $100 was reported stolen from the Gold Buyers store at Perimeter Mall on the afternoon of June 21.
• Copper wire was reported stolen from a construction site on the 4400 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road Friday morning. The wire was valued at $1,875.
• A $600 Apple iPhone 4 was reported stolen from an office on the 100 block of Ravinia Drive Saturday afternoon.
Car Break-in
• A person saw a suspect trying to break into his vehicle around 5 a.m. on June 19 on the 2400 block of Riverglenn Circle. The suspect jumped from the car and ran into the woods down the road. The suspect wasn’t found. Nothing was stolen.
• A cooler and paperwork, worth a total of $220, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5200 block of N. Peachtree Road on the morning of June 19
• A wallet with several cards, including identification cards, was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 2300 block of Fernhurst Place on the morning of June 19.
• A Springfield XD-40 pistol and a Fuji digital camera, worth a total of $750, was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1500 block of Springfield Court on the morning of June 19.
• A Nike gym bag, tennis shoes, shorts and a t-shirt were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1500 block of Rochelle Drive on the morning of June 19.
• A Tom Tom GPS valued at $328.88 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1700 block of North Springs Drive on the afternoon of June 19.
• A pair of Sorgen glasses, a pair of Sperry shoes and a vehicle registration card were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 5000 block of Shadow Glen Court on the evening of June 19. The items were valued at $101.
• A Graco car seat worth $25 was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 4700 block of Cambridge Drive in the early morning hours of June 20.
• An iPod Nano and a Garmin GPS were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4700 block of Vermack Ridge on the morning of June 20. The items were valued at $310.
• Two Garmin GPSes and $3 in cash were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 4700 block of Cambridge Drive the afternoon of June 20. The stolen items were valued at $653.
• An Apple iPad, a Toshiba laptop and a Smith & Wesson .38 pistol were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road around noon on June 21. The stolen items were valued at $2,600.
• A Garmin GPS, a coin purse with cash in it and an Apple iPod were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4400 block of Orleans Court last Wednesday afternoon. The total value of the stolen items was $520.
• A laptop satchel bag and a Dell D420 laptop were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of Ashford Dunwoody road last Wednesday afternoon. The stolen items were valued at $1,900.
• A $200 Pioneer stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4800 block of Ashford Dunwoody Road Friday morning.
• An Alpine stereo, an iPod and a USB cord were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5200 block of Abercorn Avenue Saturday morning. The stolen items were valued at $607.
• A Dell laptop, an external hard drive, a surfboard modem and a backpack were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Perimeter Center East last Wednesday afternoon. The stolen items were valued at $1,410.
Shoplifting
• A 25-year-old Atlanta man was arrested on the afternoon of June 20 for allegedly trying to steal $152 worth of clothing from Marshall’s, 1131 Hammond Dr.
• An iDesign iPod stereo system was reported stolen from Brookstone at Perimeter Mall on the morning of June 20. The stereo was valued at $395.
• A 17-year-old Atlanta male was arrested on the evening of June 21 for allegedly trying to steal $55.92 in clothing from Wal-Mart on 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
• Three shirts, valued at a total of $61, were reported stolen from American Eagle at Perimeter Mall the afternoon of June 20.
• A 35-year-old Dumfires, Va. man was arrested for allegedly stealing a $29 Magic Card set from Wal-Mart, 4725 Ashford Dunwoody Rd. last Wednesday.
• A 20-year-old Locus Grove man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal $55 worth of clothing from American Outfitters at Perimeter Mall last Wednesday evening.
• A 22-year-old Atlanta man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal a Polo shirt worth $34.99 from Marshall’s, 1131 Hammond Dr. last Wednesday night.
• A 28-year-old Semmes, Ala. man was arrested last Wednesday night for allegedly trying to steal $24.59 in alcohol from Target, 100 Perimeter Center Pl.
• A 20-year-old Atlanta woman and a 19-year-old College Park woman were arrested Friday night for allegedly trying to steal $745.95 in clothing from Dillard’s at Perimeter Mall.
• A 21-year-old Riverdale man was arrested Saturday for allegedly trying to steal clothing and personal hygiene items from Macy’s at Perimeter Mall. The items were valued at $196.
• Two Apple computers worth $600 each were reported stolen from the Apple store at Perimeter Mall Saturday morning.
